2nd Edition

100 ARTISTS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD WILL BE ENGAGING WITH THE SECOURS POPULAIRE FRANÇAIS IN ORDER TO SUPPORT ACCESS TO ART AND CULTURE FOR ALL.

The Secours Populaire francais, supported by the patronage of LVMH / Moët Hennessy . LouisVuitton is pleased to announce the second edition of recto/verso : 100 french and international artists will each be donating a work of art to the Secours Populaire. The 100 works will be exhibited from June 15th through June 24th, 2018, and put up for auction on Sunday, June 24th at the auditorium of Fondation Louis Vuitton.

All proceeds from the auction will finance the Secours Populaire’s actions for making art and culture accessible to all.

FOLLOWING THE TREMENDOUS SUCCES OF ITS FIRST EDITION IN 2015, recto/verso 2 WILL BE DISPLAYED FROM JUNE 15TH THROUGH JUNE 24TH, 2018.

The exhibition will take place in the Fondation Louis Vuitton’s exhibition spaces:

The 100 works will be presented with a special display, from Friday, June 15th through Sunday, June 24th in the entrance hall of the Fondation Vuitton. Internationally renowned and young emerging artists will be presented together during the exhibition.

A specific educational program:

During the exhibition, a specific educational program lead by the Secours populaire’s volunteers alongside the Fondation Louis Vuitton’s educators will offer tours and workshops to the people accompanied by the Secours populaire. Families, children, teens and isolated people will be welcomed to discover recto/verso as well as Frank Gehry’s building and the new exhibition “Au Diapason du Monde” presented at the Fondation Louis Vuitton.

A “blind” auction sale is organised by the Maison Millon:

All artists donated a work with a identical format of 40 x 50 cm, and signed only on the back Over 100 artworks will be put up for auction on Sunday June 24th with a starting price of 300€. The artists’ signatures will be revealed at the end of the auction.

2 days of special free entrance to the Fondation Louis Vuitton:

Access to the Fondation Louis Vuitton will be free on Wednesday June 20th as well as on Sunday June 24th to open recto/verso to the broadest audience from Paris, France and all over the world.

With the Secours populaire francais and thanks to the support of LVMH / Moët Hennessy . Louis Vuitton, 100 artists are donating artworks to be presented at the Fondation Louis Vuitton.
