Programme #FLVfromhome for the week of April 13:

  • Wednesday April 15 – 6 p.m. (Paris CET)

Olafur Eliasson: Contact, exhibition presented from 17 December 2014 to 16 February 2015
(2015, 10 min., subtitled, © Fondation Louis Vuitton / Camera Lucida – 2015, dir. Heinz Peter Schwerfel)

Conceived specifically for Fondation Louis Vuitton, the artworks in Olafur Eliasson: Contact appear as a sequence of events along a journey.
Moving through passageways and expansive installations, visitors become part of a choreography of darkness, light, geometry, and reflections. Along the way, optical devices, models, and a meteorite reflect Eliasson’s on-going investigations into the mechanisms of perception and the construction of space.

The exhibition addresses the relations between body, movement, and the sense of self, between people and their surroundings.
As Olafur Eliasson explains: “My exhibition addresses that which lies at the edge of our senses and knowledge, of our imagination and our expectations. It is about the horizon that divides, for each of us, the known from the unknown.”
The film provides a tour of the exhibition with commentary by Olafur Eliasson and Suzanne Pagé.

Chief curator: Suzanne Pagé
Curators: Laurence Bossé and Hans Ulrich Obrist, in cooperation with Claire Staebler, Olafur Eliasson and his team.

The exhibition film is available Wednesday April 15 at 6 p.m. (Paris CET): https://youtu.be/Az0rliqLYDA
Video available one week after its upload.

  • Friday April 17 – 8:30 p.m. (Paris CET)

Recital of Alexandre Kantorow
(recorded on the 23 September 2019, 95 min.)

The precocity and maturity of this artist never fail to astound. Alexandre Kantorow brings Bartók to join his favourite composer, Brahms, both fervent defenders of traditional Hungarian music, a genre to which he devotes a CD recorded in the Auditorium of the Fondation Louis Vuitton.
With the addition of Liszt and Fauré, Mr Kantorow reveals two contrasting facets of his piano artistry: a brilliant, athletic virtuosity and a fine, delicate technique of disconcerting intimacy.

Programme:
Johannes Brahms - Rhapsodie n°1, op.79
Franz Liszt - Chasse Neige, extrait des Douze études d'exécution transcendante
Béla Bartók - Rhapsodie op.1
--- Intermission ---
Johannes Brahms - Sonate n°2
Gabriel Fauré - Nocturne n°6, op. 63

The recital of Alexandre Kantorow is available Friday April 17 at 8:30 p.m. (Paris CET): https://youtu.be/zkHWL9a3hr0
Video available 24 hours after its upload.

  • Sunday 19 April – 5:30 p.m. (Paris CET)
