Being Modern: MoMA in Paris”, exhibition presented from October 11, 2017 to March 5, 2018
(2018, 17 min., French with English subtitles, © Fondation Louis Vuitton / Mirage illimité - 2017, dir. Alyssa Verbizh)

The Fondation Louis Vuitton welcomed in its building designed by Frank Gehry a selection of 200 works tracing the MoMA’s history of collecting.
A multidisciplinary selection of 200 works occupied the whole of the Fondation’s building. The works were drawn from all six of the MoMA’s curatorial departments, reflecting the history of the institution and the choices it made in building its collection. Organised jointly by the two institutions, the exhibition brought together works selected by the director and curator of the MoMA from paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, photography, film, media art, performance art, architecture to design, which by their diversity, illustrate the multiple facets of the museum's collections. The exhibition was conceived in relation with the architecture and spaces of the building of the Fondation, offering a compelling historical narrative across its four floors.
